About Us
Cedar Grove is a small house for older adults who still want the shape of a home: their own room, a shared table, and caregivers who know them by name.
Each person is part of the household, including people who need a lot of medical help. Listening is how a routine stays personal. Food, bedtime, visitors, and quiet hours go into the care plan because the resident said so, not because a schedule already existed.
Choosing a house for someone you love is hard. We would rather show you an ordinary afternoon than give you a speech. Come at a mealtime if you can. A smaller setting makes it easier to notice when someone is off, and easier to sit down and ask why.
Rooms are large enough for a resident’s own furniture. Two people can share when they want the company. Doorways are wide, the bathroom has room for a helper, and the main floor is the whole living space.
The Sammamish River trail and Bothell’s downtown are a short ride away. Seattle is about half an hour when someone wants a bigger outing. The Northshore area has a busy senior center, classes, and a place to meet friends who still live nearby.
About our nurse
Elena Marsh, RN
Care of older adults has been the center of Elena’s nursing work. She has practiced in hospital units, in long-term care, and in people’s houses. She stops in to review medications, skin, and the care plan, and she teaches the caregivers the tasks they are allowed to do.
Her job is also to back the team up. When a day is hard, she is the person who slows it down and decides what the doctor needs to hear.
Management
Jordan Hale, care director
Jordan’s family has run this house for more than ten years. The promise is a steady day: familiar caregivers, meals people will actually eat, and a plan that can get heavier or lighter as health changes.
Home care and nursing support are built around the person who lives here, with room to add help later instead of scrambling for it.
